Moonshining is a huge part of American history. Although the practice dates back to the 1700's, when prohibition was passed in 1920 it exploded. There was suddenly a massive demand for this clear corn liquor that came out of the backwoods and mountains all over the country. After prohibition was repealed in 1933 the moonshining lifestyle left a lasting impression on American culture.

Bootleg Candle Company was born out of a passion for finely crafted, hand made products. The history and culture of moonshining and whiskey making has greatly influenced our approach to candle making. Small batch, hand poured fragrance products using only the finest ingredients and lots of care and patients. We hope you enjoy the experience of using our products as much as we enjoy making them.
